Washington dc/Chicago

On Monday morning, 34-year old Aaron Alexis opened fire inside a headquarters building killing twelve people and injuring eight people. Aaron Alexis was eventually shot and killed by police. Aaron had a shot gun and two pistols on him. They say that the gun man had a severe case of mental illness. Aaron Alexis was apart of the Navy Reserves and was cited eight times for misconduct. Six month old, Jonylah Watkins, was shot 5 times and killed Tuesday morning. The father of the baby was also shot but he was brought to near by hospital where he is in critical condition. The news says it was most likely gang related.

In my opinion I feel that current criminal laws are enough to address justice in Washington DC and Chicago. If the current laws weren't enough I feel these situations would not get so much attention and police and FBI wouldn't try so hard to get to the bottom of things in BOTH situations. Even thought the situations were unfair to the victims of the families the police and investigators will try their best to bring justice to the families and community. I wouldn't change anything about the criminal laws.
