The history of American law is based upon rules and regulations agreed on by a country. Though, norms and values have developed from societies combined. Broad principles on which the common law is based comes from England and Wales development of the English un written constitution. All three branches of the state, that is the executive, the legislature and the judiciary, all play a role in developing the history of the law. This is a fundamental doctrine called the Parliament. Over time the history of the law has developed based on the common law and the juries.

Questions:
Who were some of the people that began and developed parts of the American law?
What is the purpose of laws?
When was punishment first enforced for breaking the law?

  1. The purpose of laws are to keep people safe and keep order in world. If we didn't have laws people would be doing whatever they want...like get away with murder.
